Welcome to Bella Vista Canyon!

Do you love displaying plants in your home? So do we! However, we couldn’t find any elegant, modern planters that fit our style, so we decided to create our own. Introducing the Island Planter—a minimalist design that reflects our passion for both mid-century modern aesthetics and the elegance of Japanese garden design. We wanted to bring a little piece of nature and creativity into your space, creating a planter that not only displays plants but becomes a beautiful focal point.

We spent countless hours experimenting with different styles, materials, and shapes, searching for that perfect design—until we found it in the Island Planter. It's a blend of simple, clean lines and sculptural beauty, designed to elevate any plant arrangement.

At Bella Vista Canyon, we handcraft each planter right here in our home studio, with a little help from our two young kids who are the future of our business. 😊 We run this shop out of our love for design, plants, and the belief that every piece we make should feel like an art piece in your home.

We met at Otis College of Art and Design (where we both earned our BFA), and our education continued at CalArts (Carly earned her MFA) and ArtCenter College of Design (where I earned my MFA). Our design philosophy is rooted in our shared love for the arts and the desire to bring functional art into homes everywhere.

We hope you feel the same joy and inspiration we feel when we create each planter. They’re designed to bring harmony between nature and art into your space—whether it’s your office, dining table, or living room. Each Island Planter is more than just a container for plants—it’s a little piece of nature and artistry in your home.
